The Centre offers a remarkably high standard of care to animals, with the accent being as much on prevention as cure.
"We aim to try to keep animals healthy, rather than wait until they get ill and hope we can sort things out," says Jocelyn. "Dental disease causes considerable discomfort and smelly breath and, if unchecked, can lead to much more serious problems in the liver and kidneys and can contribute to heart disease. Over 85% of dogs over three years old have problems with their teeth, which can be prevented by routine dental healthcare. Our nurses run free dental clinics to check dental health and teach people how to brush their pet’s teeth."
The surgery offers a range of other clinics run by the qualified Veterinary Nurses: Dave’s Diet Club (weight watching for your pet); Arthritis Awareness; Puppy/Kitten clinics; After 8’s (Senior Pets).
