Carpark
The car park is spacious and secure and allows parking right up to the front door for disabled access. If you wish it is easy to leave your pet in the car on arrival until the vet is ready to call you in if your pet gets anxious in the waiting room.

Reception
The waiting room at the practice is welcoming, non-clinical warm and the use of Feliway and DAP pheromone diffusers aim to reduce anxiety in dogs and cats. A “quiet room” is available for cats to settle if necessary while waiting for their appointment.

Kennels
Briar Dawn offers separated cat and dog kennels in completely separate rooms.

The cat kennels are warm, quiet, do not face each other and are all sprayed with feliway prior to each cat to reduce anxiety. Boxes and blankets are provided for cats to snuggle in to and heat pads are used where necessary.

Dog Kennels are available in various sizes, from small high kennels to large walk in kennels for large breeds. The kennel area is clean, well ventilated and has a DAP diffuser to reduce anxiety. The dogs can be taken out in the garden to stretch their legs and get fresh air when appropriate.

Vet consult room
The vet consult rooms are small but well organised and the table has a non slip surface if your pet needs to be examined off the floor. Pets are also sometimes examined in the large garden or car park particularly if they are over anxious inside the practice or if we need to assess a limp.

x-ray machine
The brand new digital x-ray machine and floating table enable us to get fantastically detailed diagnostic radiographs and is a quality of facility rarely found in a relatively small practice. This means that we can better diagnose and manage cases more successfully. We also have various endoscopes available, which again is equipment not usually available in a smaller veterinary practice.

Surgical Theatre
The surgical theatre is separate to other clinical areas in order to maintain high levels of hygiene. It is well equipped with new instruments and all the equipment and surgical supplies we may need to perform any kind of surgery at any time.
